HOW ANGRY ARE YOU, AGAIN?

Members will be aware of my feelings re "HOW ANGRY ARE YOU?" over recent days and at the same time many will be aware of my additional comments regarding Rt Hon Eric Pickles having found a spare £250M lying around to encourage Local Authorities to maintain weekly refuse collections.

To say the least I found yesterdays Sunday Telegraph report by Sean Rayment most interesting. The article covered the front page revelation that MoD Civil Servants had been awarded £40M in bonuses as a reward for overspending the budget by "many £billions" (a favourite expression often used by the Veterans Minister regarding the cost of correcting pensions injustice) plus invariably never delivering procurement projects on time. The next round of bonuses to be awarded for failure is apparently guaranteed. The Department of Work and Pensions bonuses totalled £51M !

So it is not only Bankers who are rewarded for creating an almighty cock up.

Please ensure that for those who do not have access to the internet are kept fully informed of both recent and yeterdays news and with the reminder that I will be delighted to receive expressions of anger at any time 24/7, with an assurance that you are all getting equally angry with your constituency MP and regional media.

with best wishes to all,

John Sykes

For all members leaving the service before end March 1975 and also for those who continued to serve beyond April 1975 for a further 2 years, but who were not briefed on their likely entitlement to a preserved (pro-rata) pension, please submit a written statement to this effect to the Secretary Richard Jeal as soon as possible.
